One More Ageist Blow to Boomers

I thought at 65 you could expect some small perks, like a free coffee at McDonald’s or the cheapest movie ticket, or being able to retire and draw your SS, or hit from the shorter tees at the golf course.

I played in a scramble last week, and in order to hit from the shorter tees, you had to be 80 years old. Eighty freaking years old! Now I don’t care how old you are, eighty is OLD.

Of course, I would never hit from the shorter tees at age 65 because the verbal abuse from everyone on the course would be unbearable.  Or I could remove my hearing aids and not give a crap.

Iggy Pop Falls off Stage During 60th Party

Iggy Pop either fell, was pushed, or dove off the stage during his 60th birthday party on Saturday.

Someone else had to cut the cake because Iggy no longer is allowed to handle sharp knives.

Pop no longer carves up his chest with a steak knife, rolls around in cut glass, smears himself in peanut butter, or follows a drug regimen that makes Keith Richards look like a choirboy. But the Michigan trailer-park kid otherwise outruns rockers one-third his age.

Why Boomers Wear Motorcycle Helmets
