Dear Mr. Cola,
May I call you Pepsi? Thank you.
My wife is a lifelong Pepsi drinker. Cold or warm. I am a Coke drinker - cold only, preferably with ice too. We didn’t have any Coke at noon, so I grabbed a Pepsi and headed back out the door to run errands.
When I got in the car to come home, only “backwash” was left in the bottle. Since it was my own backwash, I tipped up the bottle and finished it off.
Here in flyover country it’s hot, not as hot today as yesterday, but still hot. So the Pepsi was warm. I liked it warm.
A colleague of mine just came back from a speaking engagement at the World Tea Expo. He wrote about jump ideas.
You’d be surprised how many new ideas and methods you can come up with for your own industry when you delve into a completely different worldview.
Now this isn’t a jump idea, it’s not even a stumble idea. It’s more like a rollover in bed idea. Who do you suppose came up with the idea of taking a hot drink - tea - and putting ice in it? Sugar even?
So since it was a nice cool 84 degrees when I got home and my wife had a Pepsi open, I conned her out of half a cup and put it in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Warm is good. Hot is very good.
You’re welcome very much.
Sincerely,
Sixty

Q: What is hot Dr Pepper?
A: Hot Dr Pepper was developed many years ago as a refreshing winter drink. Heat
Dr Pepper in a saucepan to 180 degrees, place a thin slice of lemon in the bottom of a coffee mug or insulated cup and pour the heated Dr Pepper over the lemon.
It sounds good, I’ll give it a try.
But think if Pepsi made a deal with Starbucks, then promoted it. Heck Starbucks could do it on their own I suppose.
I told my son just last week that I wasn’t sure he could stay in the house if he didn’t stop saying he liked Pepsi. I’m THAT big of a Coke fan.
