I’m Feeling Global Today Pound or Euro?

Ignorant American

It’s a life size big daddy up for auction on Ebay. There are two days left and only one big but it is at 250 pounds. Or Euros. I don’t know what they’re using in Great Britain nowadays.

See the L with the line thru the middle? That’s the symbol for pound. A C with an = sign thru it is the symbol for euro.

Like and S with a | thru it is the symbol for a dollar

OK?

You’re welcome

£ = Pound Sterling [what those Brits insist on hanging on to for some 'patriotic' reason].

€ = Euro, that most of the rest of us use.

    £250 roughly equals €375 roughly equals $500.

    Is it worth it?

Hi, honored you stopped by. I didn’t know how to make the symbols on my keyboard. Thanks.

Thanks for the clarification! Although I wouldn’t consider myself ignorant, just not up to date in actual classification of money in other countries. The last time I bought something from England was a while ago, and I wasn’t sure they hadn’t changed to Euros. Anyhoo, thanks again for clearing that up. I’ll make sure to use the correct vernacular from now on!
    :)

Up to date? OK, if that’s what you prefer to call it. This may be the first time someone has learned anything from my blog.
