Electric Chair for Boomers -Xer’s Rejoice

The Bath Lift is a battery powered lift chair designed to help with safe transfers in and out of the bathtub. It gently lowers you or your loved one to the bottom of the tub, allowing for comfortable bathing. When ready, it raises its passenger back up to the top.

Battery powered is still electricity. If I get a tingle in my dingle, how the hell am I supposed to get out of the tub quick enough? I don’t want to end up like that guy in that movie that got shocked and could hear what women are thinking.

I like the concept. Easing into a bathtub is the reason I take showers. If the water is comfortable enough to sit down quickly, then it gets cool too quickly. Any hotter and I boil my hams. If I take a bath, it’s serious…

  1. Man, I’m just mesmerized by that picture of Wilford Brimley in the tub. Yeah! Makes me want to crank up some Marvin Gaye right about now.

  2. I would love one of those!!!! I would take baths but I have such a hard time getting in and out of the tub! How cool!!!!

  3. A tub elevator, how clever as long as the batteries don’t run out before you can get back up. It doesn’t look all that comfortable, though … I wonder if it reclines.

  4. I’m with you Mark….electricity and water? Battery operated, huh? Not for me thanks. I’d be the one ‘freak fatality.’ Guess I’ll stick to showers.

  5. Can I just say what a relief to find someone who actually knows what theyre talking about on the internet. You definitely know how to bring an issue to light and make it important. More people need to read this and understand this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more popular because you definitely have the gift.
