Book of Plaid Tops NaNoWriMo

I used to think NaNoWriMo was pretty stupid. If you have a book in you, why constrict yourself to a specific word count over the specific period of time.

I’m pretty sure there was a lot of garbage written. I haven’t read any because I have have undiagnosed ADD. That’s why I like blogging. The posts are short.

That changed today when I saw CBC Sunday Morning featuring a book about plaid.

What a lame topic. I like plaid, as a matter of fact, I have on plaid shorts as I write this.

I really like Tartan Plaid. I learned that a Tartan Plaid is made up of a square pattern that can be rotated and the pattern won’t change.

So a Tartan plaid can be plaid but not all plaids are tartan.

How do you make a book out of that? How do you convince a CBS news producer that this is worthy of a segment on one of the best TV News shows?

I think they are related to somebody at CBS News. Or it could be more sinister than that. One author is an African American man ( Jeffrey Banks) who  seems like a normal Joe, the other author looks like  a snooty white upper east side WASP. Get this: her name is Doria De La Chapelle

Mrs. Dave La Chapelle (har, wouldn’t that rock her world!)

Any NaNoWriteMo tome can be a printed book if these east coast goofballs can write a book on plaid and sell it.

The authors observed more women wore plaid after 9/11. Which is just goofy! I’m going to the newsreels to disprove their theory. I’m saying women wore more scoop neck sweaters.

Dead men don’t wear plaid.
