I have referred to using my C.S.I. light when looking for something. I am not an authorized C.S.I. so I have don’t have the official black model, I have the semi-pro green.
It really does help one focus if you hold a big honkin’ flashlight with a tight light pattern at eye level. Even in the daylight.
At eye level, not waist, to avoid misleading shadows.
Use the flashlight beam to draw your eyes to a new area to concentrate. Not the reverse. Flashlight leads eyes, that is C.S.I. Flashlight 101.
