Marcel, Sil Vous Plait. It’s so Froid That…

Bonjour, Madames et Monsuiers!

Today, sil vous plait, call me Marcel.

For breakfast, Nancee made french toast, using french bread (made in Kentucky.) We had red wine (which came from Indiana - although the winery was just north of French Lick.) Yes wine in the morning, it is cold and that warms us up.

Oui, I am, how you say? Feeling zee Franhce.

Did I say cold?

It’s so cold,

  • I want a political rally for the hot air.
  • I am a stiffy, except where it counts and that’s not getting far away from my body.

How cold is it where you are?

7°C in Northern Ireland at 17.20. Due to drop to 4°C later!
I like the Bistro de Nancee. It like warm and welcoming. Any wine left?

@Grannymar: I’ll Nancy you like her work. I just am on my second glass - ran to the grocery store - Nancy is laying off because she has an important bowling match about 5 p.m.

Cold, cold, cold. It’s been below zero the past few days with windchlls of -20 degrees; but we’re having a heat wave right not…it’s about 20 degrees. Even by midwestern standards…this is ‘get-out-the-extra-scarf-and-gloves-weather.’ Loved your post Marcel…tres humorous.

@Joy: I hope the sun is shining where you are. It makes such a difference.

I don’t think you want me to tell you. It was mild and pleasant in Paree. Sohrry, Marcel et Nahncee!

Anyway, when it is below zero here it’s in celsius. Whew. Still haven’t done the quick mental math on that, though…

Go light a fire and have some more tawny Port for me!

@Polly: yes, I checked the weather in Paris, so I new. Don’t worry we always want to know what is going on in Paris.
I ran out of firewood because we ran out of pianos.
