Remember "duck and cover" and bomb shelters? Our cable company (before it was taken over by evil Time Warner) used to show hysterical old '50s Cold War and hygiene films made for schoolchildren. I still remember the menstruation film shown to the girls in my Catholic school around 6th grade. Back then, boys weren't allowed to hear about menstruation. (Like they ever wanted to.) Oh, it’s not so bad today. Remember “duck and cover” and bomb shelters? I have to spend a lot of time reassuring them that our van isn't about to get swept away by floodwaters.
