This is the culmination of about 10 years’ work. Structured wiring closet Phase II is now complete. Phase III begins once funding is approved. Items include (from top to bottom):
Sirius satellite radio (golden glow on left side of top shelf
Linksys wireless router and Netgear 8-port switch
Dish Network HD PVR satellite receiver (for living room, guest bedroom and office)
Dish Network HD satellite receiver (for Home Theater and master bedroom)
Sony Amplifier/Receiver
Panasonic upscaling DVD player
Belkin PureAV AC power line conditioner/surge protector
HP MediaCenter PC with HD-DVD player
Wester Digital 320g external hard drive (connected to HD PVR satellite receiver for extra storage space)
DSL modem
Buffalo Technologies 500g Network Area Storage device
TrippLite backup UPS for PC and network devices
Each shelf has an LED strip light that illuminates the components below it (thanks Ikea!).
I need a hobby...and a beer.
By this last statement, this indicates that SIL considers the above the essentials of life.





I can honestly say the wiring in my setup looks nothing like this
. I guess I would call mine “un-structured” wiring.
