The Most Awesomest Code Slave with Dimples I Know

Followers know I hacked around on my blog design, trying to steampunk it with a newspaper theme, then Kirk came in and cleaned up afterwards.
Well it happened again. Seems that while I was just so darn proud of my theme, everybody that used IE - only 90% of the friggin’ world - was seeing crapola. I was only checking my hacking in Firefox.

Kirk has just been too much under the weather to tackle cleaning up after me, so I asked Rachel to give it a go. (Get better Kirk!) Rachael’s nice and all that, but she never drove a submarine!
I needed two things: upgrade two blogs and write CSS for IE to make this one look like I want. She did both, AND put up with my incessant picking at her while she was working. She did a great job. She blogs too. And has a new husband. And Ian. And two dimples. And lives in Michigan (my home state.)

I give Rachel my highest recommendation.
Thank you Rachel.
UPDATE: Just to be clear, Rachel didn’t design this theme, in case you think it sucks. She just made it work in IE.

Like I said, if all my clients were as awesome as you, I would have SUCH an easier time. :)

My dimples and I are your friends for life. :D

No matter….I like your blog style. I am not sure if you saw my comment yesterday, here, but you do have an award for your blog at my personal blog. {Friday’s blog]

I like Rachael’s dimples, too. My son Matt has similar dimples.

Is there anything in the world better than a cute techie, male or female?

    Hey Sixty,

Sheesh! No wonder you dumped me for Rachel. She’s better at code and a heck of a lot better looking, I don’t care if she never drove a submarine (a dubious honor at best). Still working on the health issues, if I can keep the VA away from me long enough I might actually get ahead of it. :P

    Hi Rachel,

Nice job on the theme! He never looked better (and that’s quite a chore). Now for some reason, I’m not getting the puke green color for the content in IE 7.0 that I’m seeing in Firefox 3 (nightly’s). This probably means that Sixty loaded up yet another badly coded widget or gadget into a post or the sidebar that’s keeping the page from fully loading in IE. You really have to watch that guy. (Hey there, Sixty! :D )

Just between you and me, I like the all over newspaper look of the blog I see in IE 7.0 without the pea soup spilled all down the middle. Of course I just had to say that.

LOL, Kirk - I think you and I should be friends. :)

I see the difference too - I think he might have taken the background code out of one CSS file and not the other one. :D

@Kirk and Rachael: Just pretend like I’m not here. :( Yes, since you both have to clean up my messes, you should know each other, kind of like the coroner and the undertaker should know each other.

I see I screwed up the right side nav in FF somehow too. Maybe I’ll just wait and see if FF3 fixes it!

Yes, I don’t took the body background out of one place. :P

Yes. Kirk and I are best friends now. We are hatching a plot to… well, if I tell you, I’ll have to kill you. And I like you too much, so I can’t do that. ;)

Also, FF3beta5 sees a slightly messed-up sidebar, but maybe the release candidate will love on your blog better! Who knows! :)

    Hey there,

Yes Sixty, Rachael and I are best buddies all around and we have something in common…you! (aarrr!)

    Hi Rachael,

The sidebar was broken in half on a short post (single page) and was stuck under the content plus the comment box was overlapping the sidebar a bit (in the Firefox 3 nightly builds). Both appear to be fixed now to be fixed now.

About that plot; I think we’re being too….easy on him. Don’t you?

@Kirk: I’ll bet its a Firefox problem. Firefox problem.
