Baby Boomer guy writing about stuff of interest primarily to boomers, or people who know one. No politics, few rants, attempted humor. Suitably old, mysteriously advanced.

Yeah, such are the wonders of old age. Some of my mommy blogger friends and I were talking about the Beatles the other day, and I mentioned one of my younger online mommy friends saying "Oh yeah, the Beatles. I think my grandfather used to listen to them." I might as well have told her I enjoyed vaudeville.

I was lucky enough to have missed the fifties. I do believe Eisenhower put the country collectively to sleep, and I'm glad I didn't come along until things woke up a bit.

Gretchen's last blog post..The Starbucks Experience.

I like the M&M terminology, and love the book, as I love any oldstyle book like that. I wish I had some of the health and menstruation texts they handed out in the '60s. Pure comedy gold, today.

I think I use the Webster's online thesaurus when I'm in need of one, which isn't often. One thing you pick up as an English major is a zillion words no one knows or cares to know.
