i didn’t know this either…
why can’t they tell us these things? Honestly, who studies the opposite end of a foil container? NOBODY so, how are we to know unless the company tells us?

@Gretchen: We call it tinfoil too… I have not personally verified the assertion that the tab exists. And I have not checked Snopes.com yet.

Ben and I have a roll of tinfoil (as we call it) that we bought when we were dating. We’ve been married eight years.

I always have a tough time with Saran wrap. It totally ends up sticking to itself and everything except the dish I’m trying to cover. We are big fans of Tupperware and Ziploc because they are idiot friendly.

I never knew about the little tab either. Perhaps it was introduced in the eight years since we bought the tinfoil (I think I’ve had the Saran wrap for about six years).
