I saw Obama’s video announcing and explaining his decision not to use public funding, and I must say, he gave a most compelling case. This represents a break with the traditional Washington way of doing it, and to me, that is good. Did he lie? I don’t know. Perhaps he just changed his mind. I remember doing that once or twice in my lifetime…

As far as room to complain? That argument really gets under my skin.
Voting is not a prerequisite to voicing my opinion. Choosing NOT to vote for a candidate is just as valid as choosing the for FOR a candidate.
Oblahblah can explain until the cows come home about his reason to “change his mind.” But I call it a lie just to get the nomination. A wet bird never flies at night.
For what it’s worth, I speak in cliches sun up to sun down.
So I’m letting sleeping dogs lie because those that lay down with dogs get up with fleas.
Seriously, it’s always a “lesser of two evils” thing. I’ve made my choice this time ’round, but many have been the years I’ve been tempted to just vote for Dave Barry.
I don’t like McCain, although I gotta love the cussin’. (However, even I, who swear like a sailor, find the “C” word unspeakably vulgar.)

But when Obama based his whole campaign on “change” and constantly repeated his pledge limit campaign spending and does such an obvious politically expedient move I can’t stomach it.
When McCain was so vulgar towards someone he loves, it reveals a deep character flaw and a terrible temper.
I was thinking of you at 6 a.m. today when Boolie woke me up and I was watching CNN and saw a photo of McCain. He had the cheesiest, most insincere shit-eating smile I’ve ever seen. I don’t trust him. Never will. Whereas Obama with his Will Smith jug ears just seems more, I don’t know, honest to me. Laugh if you like. As I said, it’s all a shit factory; you just have to try to pick the turd less runny and stinky than the rest of them.
