We were very sad. We’d been talking about George just earlier yesterday when the kids were watching “Thomas the Tank Engine” from the BBC. Carlin was the narrator for a while.
George Carlin was my first comedian; I remember my big brother bringing his albums home in the early ’70s. A giant lefty politically, but I loved him anyway.
The odd bit about the “seven dirty words” routine is how you can tell it’s 30 years old; these days, TV is full of farts and penis.
