Smooch Your Pooch. Today is International Dogs Rule Day.

It’s the first. It’s a holiday designed by an advertising agency for Pedigree.

It’s not recognized by Congress or anybody. But what the heck… any reason to post pics of our pooches.

Since we have been married, we have always owned a dog. All mutts until Oliver and Sofi.

Whiskey was first, mostly beagle, but with real long legs. Tramp, a little dog with stubby legs, and Dudley, who was a spitting image of a Bearded Collie.

Now we have four.

Sedona is all grown up now, a full 70 pounds – but this is my favorite animal picture anywhere!

Oliver can look so pathetic, but he is King of the King size bed. What LUMP. He was Nancy’s first attempt to get a lap dog. He fits, but he’s 20 pounds and her lap is pretty small.

Derby is a street urchin from Nashville that Nancy picked up from a shelter. He is just a goofy, wild, insane pooch that will take on Sedona, who is three times his size. His best trick is “Derby! Show me your dick!”

Sofi. What a little princess – sometimes. But she is all dog. She loves to romp and rassle with Derby who is four times her size. She has a ferocious (cute) growl. Nancy finally got her lap dog because Sofi weighs all of five pounds.

We have granddogs too:

Chase does have two ears, she’s just being as sexy as possible for the camera. She was the inspiration that launched DogsWithCones.com

Ferguson is the teacher of the bunch. Amy takes him to “school.”  One school is as a pet therapist where he visits and comforts patients. The other is a real school where Ferg sits an listens attentively as students read to him.
