Books for small children
Charles Stanley Miller has a new book: Why Frogs Have No Hair.
Lefty’s (Miller’s storyteller) explains many aspects of present-day frogs, including why they make croaking sounds and live where they do. He also tells the children why frogs have no hair and how this fact is related to the extinction of the dinosaurs.
We prefer to give kids we know the book, The Gas We Pass: The Story of Farts. Girls and boys alike just crack up when they see it. Sometimes their moms give us the “you didn’t” look, but the dads can’t wait to read it.
