Quality theater is a great value
We saw 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee this afternoon at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
What a great way to spend the afternoon. Such talent, from the conception by an improv group called “The Farm”, to the set design of a gymnasium where the bee takes place, to the orchestra where the pianist has a part, and of course the actors. It’s two hours of uninterrupted fun. My favorite scene was the representation of the spellers going through various rounds in a “fast forward” mode, changing to a “slow mo” mode, which struck me as hilarious.
If they are touring in your area, go see a show. You just can’t beat quality theater for value.
