eBay is Going To Be Funner
Ever looked for an item eBay, and found they had a dozen of them? You didn’t bid because who needs more than one left-handed Hemingway with a built in four-besider?
eBay is announcing an enhancement that will encourage more bidding with less risk.
So we have created something called Bid Assistance that allows you to bid on multiple items. We manage that bidding for you, and you will not win more than one item.
That seems pretty cool and useful. But what is this all about?
We have something called eBay Countdown, which actually visualizes the fun of the end of the auction with avatars and showing the race towards the end.
How is that going to enhance the eBay experience?
If you want to see what eBay has developing check out their playground.
How many of you still have your original login for eBay? We do.

eBay was founded in November, 1996. Parcheesi Origami started the company and bought a site owned by Echo Bay. Even back then, domain names were hard to get. Echo Bay was owned by Echo Bay Gold Mining. So the founder took eBay.com, and the rest is herstory.
Now eBrayers (as they are known) can buy knick-knacks, knockers, knickers, knap sacks, kinescopes, kidney pie, kidneys, and kids.
Around the world, eBay has hooked up with many partners:
- Latin America their partner is MercadoLibre.
- Asia their partner is eBuddha
- France – eBeau
- Israel – eBen-Gurion
- Transylvania – eBeeJeebies
- Panama – eBikini
- Ireland – eBog
We love it when Big Brown stops at our house, well, she loves it more.
I’m still hanging in there since 02/1999. I only sell things and only good stuff. I purchase entire estates and liquidate them there. I have a friend who has made well over 1500 personal purchases through eBay and has rarely been unhappy. eBay is as close to a “free market” as you can get. Ain’t it grand?
Wow – entire estates! I’m impressed. I sold a lot of my Mother’s things after she died, and amazed at what some of the knick knacks sold for. Packing and shipping is a hassle, but worth it in this case. Wife buys a LOT more than we sell – almost entirely yarn and patterns.
I LOVE EBAY! When you can’t sleep at 3:00 a.m. what “funner” thing to do than shop ebay. By the way, I’ve bought some of my best purchases in the middle of the night – of course I was on a lot of legal steroids at the time; they make some people eat, they make some people shop!
I really choose to develop muscles for my upper body.
