Stones Concert Documentary Release Delayed
I’m not a huge fan of the Stones, but I love a great documentary and I love Martin Scorsese. For two nights the Stones played for an intimate (for the Stones) group 3,000 people while Scorsese and a film crew worked their magic.
The ConDoc (concert documentary) was scheduled for release in September, but it has now been delayed
Martin Scorsese’s hotly-tipped documentary about the Rolling Stones has had its release date put back to next April for promotional reasons.
Shine a Light was provisionally pencilled in for a September release, but as the Stones are currently in the middle of a European tour, this was put back for the band to have more time to spend on the film.
Scorsese has already shown a rough cut to the band and it is understood the on-the-road documentary is completed.
Yes, the film is being held up because of promotional reasons.
The Stones need promoting.
Scorcese has some great lines in the trailer.
Cool pictures here (site is Italian)
Check out this trailer and see if you think it needs more promotion.
