Eons.com Must Die
I signed up at Eons.com, just like I sign up on every other boomer oriented blog.
Later I learned that the site was launched by the founder of Monster.com and they had layed off 1/3 of their staff and burned thru $20 million in funding.
I had a blog post that got a comment, so I wandered by to respond to the comment.
I spent ten minutes trying to figure out how to comment on my own post!
It’s not there! There is “remove this comment” and “flag as inappropriate” but no “comment” link.
There blog isn’t covered in their FAQ’s!
Eons.com must die.
I used their form and spelled out exactly my problem and got this auto response. I have bolded the dumbest thing I have ever read in an auto response.
** THIS IS AN AUTO-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO CONFIRM THAT THE EONS HELP TEAM HAS RECEIVED YOUR HELP REQUEST. **
Thank you for writing to the Eons Help Team. We will respond to you by email as soon as we are able.
Eons is experiencing an increase of site membership and as such, we are also receiving an increase in Help requests. Unfortunately, our response times are longer than usual. We will be staffing up to handle the increase of requests, but in the meantime it may take several days to answer your help request.
Several days!
Eons.com must die. The sooner the better. Imagine the frustration this is causing noobs who have decided their first foray into blogging or social networking is through eons.com.
Die Eons Die.
