SNOTs May Have New Help for Snorers
The SNOT’s (SNOrer Technicians) divulged that I had SLAPnea (wife slaps me until I stop snoring.)
So I got the wind machine, a CPAP – biPAP to blow up my snoot to help both of us sleep better. I’m a hoser.
Now Rooters (Reuters) is reporting that computerized pillow that will help snorers has been invented.
“The pillow is attached to a computer, which is the size of a book, rests on a bedside table, and analyses snoring noises,”
“The computer then reduces or enlarges air compartments within the pillow to facilitate nasal airflow to minimize snoring as the user shifts during sleep,” he said.
“I invented it because I snore,” he said. “I tried all sorts of products, but nothing worked. I hope people who use it will sleep more peacefully.”
I sure hope this works and isn’t some goofy German who is Oktobeerfesting. I would love to get rid of the headgear that I have to wear.
I hope it isn’t a Windows OS. I would have to wake up to go to sleep, and every two minutes I would get a message that says Windows is unable to detect your keyboard, please press any key to continue.
My husband has worn a CPAP since about 1998. I sort of miss his snoring; believe it or not, I used to find the sound comforting.
I think the headgear is there to stay, though. A friend of Ben’s even had surgery that was meant to cure his apnea and guess what? It completely didn’t work, and he still wears a CPAP. The pillow sounds dicey to me.
Boy, I’m finding out a LOT of guys are hosers. I agree on the pillow deal, that’s probably for drunk snorers – or mommy snorers.
What about the teeth-grinders!!! Why does nobody ever come up with solutions for teeth grinders?!?!
They become dentists.
