Jesus Built My Hot Rod. Is This What They Call Christian Music?
Pandora.com thought I should hear this song based on other music that I have given a thumbs up to when selected on my behalf by the Music Genome Project.

is a genius. Way back in 2000 he got a bunch of like minded musicians together to listen to tens of thousands of artists and defined hundreds of musical “genes.”
The result is the best damn thing to happen to music. Nothing to download, just fire it up, give it a few clues what you want to hear and let it rip in background. I have listened to more NEW music in the past month than ever. The artists get paid everytime you play a song! Revolutionary! The only drawback is you can’t rewind or replay a song.
Anyway, Tim said I should listen to Jesus Built My Hot Rod.
So I did, and bingo!
Here’s how it’s described by a music guy. If this describes Christian Rock, then I need to listen to more.
… “Jesus Built My Hot Rod,” featuring Gibby Haynes from Butthole Surfers on vocals ranting over a galloping molten explosion of beats and feedback. Presented in a slightly edited version here, it’s still the high point of the album, … straightforward, brutal noise crossed with clinical, on-the-money arrangements, whether it’s the collage of crowd-riot samples bubbling throughout “N.W.O.” or the chantings of Christian praise on the title track. ~ Ned Raggett, All Music Guide.
I guess I can’t link to it either, you have to register. If you like that, here are others suggested to appeal to us.
