BFD and Dildoos and Dutch Bags
Have you seen the commercial where the guy is having an out of body experience and he calls himself a “dildoo?”
Am I the only one that thinks the real word “they” wanted to use was “dildo?” Kind of like Domino’s used BFD, and said it stood for Big Fantastic Deal.
Next up: “Buy this or you’re a dutch bag.”
Haven’t seen the commercial. Which idiotic company approved that brilliant (NOT) ad?

@BearNaked: I really don’t remember. I’ll try to pay more attention.
Nope, those commercials don’t run over here 😉
And hey, I buy a Dutch bag any time, with the right stuff in it 😛
@Nicole: oohhhh, I’m tellin’
The boys were watching a Nickelodeon show yesterday and they had a Ukranian-type woman expressing disbelief and outrage, and she yelled “Boosha!” Apparently you can say anything these days if you just alter it a teeny bit.
There is a car wash in Hermosa Beach called “Hand Job Car Wash”.

@Gretchen: and maybe this all is a good thing – just words with no shock value.
Well, I’m all up with George Carlin on the bad words question. “There are no bad words. Bad thoughts, maybe, bad intentions — and words.”
I still wish I could keep my boys from saying “douchebag” all the time though. Except I can’t punish them with a straight face while giggling.

@Gretchen: and as long as one is considerate of others… what’s the problem?

Offensive or not?
All I can do is shake my head. I must be really getting on in years when I see ads like these and do not see or understand the humour. Or is it just me?
