None of this banter about how ole Brokenjaw referred to questions “from the internet” and jumping the conclusion that baby-boomers are internet ignorant.

It would seem to me that Tom Brokaw would read and use email. He seems to have an independent inquisitive mind. Perhaps he even tweets?

So why would he refer to a question that came in by email as being “from the internet”?

If I read something online, I will sometimes say “read on the internet” but usually I say, “read online” or “on the web” or “on a blog” or “on AsianWomenHoldingThings.com.”

If I read an email, I read an email.

I read in an email the other day that a blog post of mine will appear on Boomspeak.com.

It was odd. It ammo for those who think baby-boomers are not active online and/or don’t know what we are doing.

Tom Brokaw is not a baby-boomer. He was born in 1940.
