Yes, I am Sick of Reading About Baby Boomers
I love reading stuff from Baby Boomers, but I am sick to death of the over-hyped, over-analyzed, overboard stories about us. I’m tired of reading about us.
USA Today is doing a long feature series about us.
Today, it’s how we are the hated generation.
According to these losers who don’t even know what the baby-boomer generation did, we are responsible for the huge national debt and the financial crisis… and other such bits of wisdom.
Dopes.
I like the guy at the end that says he doesn’t care about the baby-boomer generation, he is concerned about where his generation will lead us.
“Everyone is sort of feeling like, ‘Will these Baby Boomers ever leave?’ “
says Debra Fiterman, 30, of Minneapolis.
Debra, you’re not alone. I’m looking to leave as soon as my handicapped placard arrives.
At least the article distinguished people in their 80’s and 90’s as parents of Baby Boomers. So many reporters include that age as part of the Baby Boomer generation.
I’m in agreement with you about hating all this analysis about the boomer generation. If people read the stuff we write, they’d understand most boomers are more than self-centered, financially inept, hippies.
True, they did seem to get the age right, but many don’t realize how “calendar-young” baby-boomers can be.
Yeah, it’s all about US. You and me. Why didn’t they contact us? hmmmmmm Shermy? 🙂
‘According to these losers who don’t even know what the baby-boomer generation did, we are responsible for the huge national debt and the financial crisis… and other such bits of wisdom.’
Hey you know what – I think you might just find that was right – oh and don’t forget climate change…….
– as always great attitude towards alternative views – but then thats boomers for you.
– love the ‘going 60’ stuff at the top too………..classic boomer ..me me me me me me me me me
@Gen xer: Yes, because we all know that blogging is all about YOU YOU YOU. Perfect example of how Xers don’t pay attention.
