Michiganders and Mammograms in Costa Rica
Nancy started an email correspondence with a guy in Grecia about mammograms.
I should worry, right?
I didn’t because it seems that at a certain age (ours) and in a certain location (Costa Rica) oversharing is a way of life.
Dave’s wife needed a mammogram and had a good experience with a radiologist in Grecia. Walk-in, no appointment needed, bend over the copy machine, (no) hand over $40 and walk out with the films.
In the meantime, Dave and Nancy discussed our need for a Spanish teacher and he suggested we come to their house and sit in on their Spanish lesson. Their guy was interested in picking up some new students in Atenas.
So we did.
Turns out Dave and Marcia are from Michigan.
Nancy and I are from Michigan.
First Michiganders we have encountered here.
So there.
