Am I Man Enough Try the 1820 Cafe Reserva Espresso?
I didn’t drink coffee until I moved to Costa Rica. Just a habit I never developed. Plus, I didn’t really care for the taste no matter how much milk and sugar I added.
I’m pretty sure if I would have been forming my vices in the Starbucks era, I would be as hooked on some fancy-dancy-schmancy coffee drink just as so many others are now. But I made my vices in the era of Chocolate Cokes.
Moving here and having a coffee crop next door, I figured I should give drinking coffee a shot.
Especially when Nancy raved about the Cafe 1820 brand coffee.
She also go hooked on a coffee drink at her favorite place to eat – Antano’s. She loves the Cafe Frio de crema Irandesa, frozen coffee with Irish Cream liquor topped with caramel syrup. She orders it often enough, they personalize it for her.
Just a few minutes ago, Google served an ad on the top of this blog for Cafe 1820 Special Reserve. So I clicked through just to see what they were serving…
First recipe:
- 16 gramos de café
- 2 onzas de agua.
- Servido en una taza de 4 oz.
Yeah, don’t need no Google translate for that do ya? That would be one powerful cuppa Jose. I’m not sure I’m man enough for Espresso.
I like one cup of 1820 sometimes in the morning, and I’ll have a Antano’s Nancy Special once in a while, but I’m gonna keep it to the beginner level where I belong.
