Tell us your favorite quotation and why.

I have a couple:
“Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.”
~Ogden Nash
I first used this quote in blind-english-teacher Miss Weckerly’s class. I forget the context, but we read a short story and she asked the class if we knew what the author was writing about.
I got a huge laugh with my smart-ass comment. Even blind-english-teacher Miss Weckerly chuckled.
Thing is: I was right. It was a good summary of what the story was about. Maybe it was about Godiva??? Whaddya think? Recall any classic tales to which this would apply?
