Many little girls grow up dreaming of helping animals and dancing.

Dra. Sharon, our vet,does both. And NO, I don’t mean she pole dances for dollar bills in front of a bunch of animals. Sharon is a wonderful caring vet who has helped us with our animals since we moved to Atenas.

Recently I found out (thanks Facebook) that she is a dancer too!

Is there no limit to the talents of the Ticos and Ticas? Our spanish teacher sings and play the guitar, the construction guys down the way play the guitar, the woman up the road sings, and our vet dances!  I can’t wait to find out what our eye doctor and dentist and GP do for fun!  I need to ask.

Dra. Sharon, who I now call the Dancing Doctora took up jazz dancing just six months ago and performed on stage for the first time recently.

“I thought I would die,” she said, “I was so scared before we danced.”

Dancing Doctora was inspired by the teevee show: So You Think You Can Dance.

There are 200 dancers in the entire dance team. Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, and Acrobat. She attends class a couple times a week, but does a lot of dancing around the house.
