Christmas at Sedolsoder, Guacimo de Atenas, Costa Rica Comes Early
Christmas Eve is the big day for celebrating in Costa Rica.
Families gather in the afternoon for big meals and fiestas. Christmas Day things slide back to “normal.”
We asked the gang from down the hill to come this morning to kick off the day. Nancy fixed a huge and delicious breakfast brunch.
Regalos or Comida? Presents or Food? That was the question… guess what the answer was!
Regalos!
This was the first Christmas the kids got presents. The joy on their faces was touching. And after presents were opened and admired by all, they all gathered at the table to eat and then it was on to play time!
Highpoint: Dimas, the 15 year old boy, putting on fake fingernails just to crack up his sisters and cousins.
They loved it.
Hope your Christmas has lots of laughs. Ours sure did.
