If This is Costa Rica Rainy Season – We’ll Take It
The opinion of those around here is pretty similar: if this is Costa Rica Rainy Season in July, we’ll take it.
We had 7 1/4 inches of rain in July at Sedolsoder and that came in just a few days. Long term residents say this is pretty typical – that there is a dry spell during this time of year. We have had a week here and there without ANY measurable rain. The pattern remains the same however…
Beautiful, bright, sunny mornings. Then about noon the clouds start to build. By 2 or 3 o’clock it’s totally clouded over and thunder is rolling in the distance. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it rains 2 inches in 20 minutes, other times it just sprinkles enough to wet the ground. Then by 5 or 6 o’clock the sun is setting and the clouds are moving out.
It’s not bad.
But it will get worse.
