Atenas Agua in August (Rain Report)
These “sad” looking cattle that live down the road from us, really look sad when standing in the rain. In August 2013 at Sedolsoder, Guacimo de Atenas they had to endure 10 1/2″ inches of rain.
But it’s been a pretty easy rainy season: most mornings start out glorious with sun and blue sky. And by mid to late afternoon the rain clouds move in for a few hours and it rains for 15-30 minutes. Then the clouds and rain move out.
The biggest rain we had was 4 1/2 inches in a couple hours. Not a big deluge, but enough to make me sure the water was moving off our property OK. The thunderstorms have been bearable – in other words, we have had worse, much worse,
Jinx.
October is our rainiest month.
